WA MODERN RESIDENCE 2023

A home designed to celebrate the homeowners’ deep appreciation for the Japanese culture. Having spent their childhood in Japan, the homeowners desired to recreate the elements of the traditional Japanese home in the modern context of a two-bedroom HDB BTO dwelling. This project explores multi-valency that allows space to transform to accommodate a myriad of everyday living, even within a compact floor plan, for its humans and furry inhabitants.
